This section answers some of the questions that we get asked frequently. Of course it you have a question of your own, please don't hesitate to call us or send an email.
Our intention is to ask what you want instead of telling you what to do. Once we understand your desires, then we help you plan to that end by suggesting appropriate clothing, print sizes and possible locations for your portrait session. Without this kind of approach: first conceiving a portrait idea and then producing it under exacting standards... we would fall into the category of mediocrity. Lastly, we guarantee our work - period!
Depending on the type of session you book, expect your appointment to last between thirty minutes for a Classic Studio Study and up to two hours or longer for our extensive studio and location studies.
We suggest you allow some buffer time as sessions can and do vary somewhat in length.
There is no set amount of photographs taken. Our philosophy maintains a “whatever it takes” attitude!
Portraits are typically ready to be viewed at our studio the following business day. When you actually come in - depends on your availability and ours. Previews are shown via projection on a large screen for the purposes of clearly seeing expressions and determining sizes.
Sure. Digital files from your portraits are available for purchase for $300 each with portrait orders in excess of $2500. Will will provide for free one or two images from you session that you can share on Facebook for your friends and family to enjoy.
A selection of high school senior pictures are posted online and may be shared in small file sizes to accommodate social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram.
You will have the opportunity to order portraits at the initial viewing of your photographs. At this time, grandparents or anyone else interested in ordering portraits, should also be present. Because portrait orders can represent a sizable investment, we ask that all necessary financial decision-makers be present. That way there will be no delays in getting your beautiful finished portraits to you as soon as possible.
It's recommended that small children less than eight years old are left to the care of your favorite babysitter for your ordering or framing appointments. Your viewing appointment will require your undivided attention. It won't be fair to you if you become distracted during this time together.
Because only one viewing appointment is included in our costs, please be prepared to place your order on the day of this appointment and you will receive your bonus of 15% off your entire portrait order! Thanks for understanding.
People generally choose one or two wall portraits from a given portrait session to display in their home. Using portraits as wall decor makes a dynamic personal statement in your home environment.
The finished size of your wall portrait is best determined by the available wall space in your intended display area; in conjunction with the proportional size of the faces in the respective photograph. Sixteen and twenty inch sized portraits are fine for close-up images, while twenty-four through forty or fifty inch sizes are recommended for half, three-quarter and full-length poses. Through projection, we show you exactly how your portrait will look in a given size before you order it.
Because we carry extensive lines of frames - both in style and price range, it is impossible for us to forecast what you might select. Therefore, frames are not included within our portrait prices. Our framing specialists are experts in guiding you towards design choices that will please you and beautifully showcase your prints.
